Let's Break It Down Step By Step
Now that you've seen a few ways to wear the Mimi Dress, let's walk through each styling method in more detail.
The easiest and most simple go to is to bring the left and right sides across diagonally and thread the left tie through the hole on the right side seam. This allows a smoother, flat and less bulky appearance of material on the side. Finish off by tying a bow or knot at the back, you can also bring the tie back around the front again and tie it off.
Personalise the fit and placement of the fabric on your body to achieve the desired comfort and coverage. Experiment with how the fabric drapes and settles to effortlessly conceal any cutouts. If you pull the skirt slightly higher so that it aligns with the hem of the top, it will help cover the cutout section.

Start by crossing the fabric panels over your body as you normally would. Before tying the dress, take the two front panels and twist them together once at the centre of the bust. Once twisted, take the ties and pull them across and underneath the bust. From there, pull the ties around towards the back and secure with a knot or bow either at the back or front depending on your preferred look. After tying, spread and adjust the twisted fabric across the bust until you achieve your desired coverage and shape.
You can tighten the twist for a more secure and sculpted fit. This styling method creates a beautiful gathered neckline that pairs perfectly with statement earrings or a sleek updo to really let the detail stand out.

Easily fasten the fabric with a charming knot or bow at the front. Here's a clever style tip: thread the ties through the center of your bra, pull one end from above and the other up from below, and then secure the bow. This clever little hack helps conceal the bra while adding extra support for on-the-go activities.
This styling method is perfect for those wanting a little extra hold through the bust while still keeping the neckline soft and feminine.

Have you ever thought to wear a dress backwards? It might sound crazy but instantly transform the look into a chic high neckline option by wearing the Mimi dress in reverse. This is great for when you are looking for a more modest look or you weren't feeling the V neck on the day.
This styling method is especially loved by those with a larger bust or anyone wanting extra coverage at the front while still keeping that flattering body hugging shape. You can keep the back sitting flat for a smoother, more minimal finish or tie it into a statement centre bow for a more detailed open back cutout effect. Don’t forget, you can still use the same bra hack to help conceal the back bra band while keeping everything supported and in place.
You can try these tying methods with other similar tie front styles such as the Kinsley Knit Maxi Dress and Roza Maxi Dress. With the how to and a touch of your personal style, you'll be turning heads and feeling fabulous with such a versatile fashion piece in your wardrobe. Happy styling!
